-On average about 3% of our clients receive some type of letter from the IRS or Utah during the year. Less than half of these letters are accurate - often the IRS/State is missing information and we can help resolve the issue by providing it to them. This means that if there is a balance due on your letter there is a fair chance that number is not accurate. Our recommendation is to let our Pack Tax Defense team review the letter and bill for accuracy before you submit payment.
