Our Story
I was introduced to Pack Tax in 2018 when it opened! I am proud to say that I have been a Pack Tax client since the very beginning! At the time, my career was in life insurance. In 2019, I decided to make a move and try my hand at mortgages at a local mortgage brokerage. Little did I know, but this was a great time to get into the mortgage world. Rates were very low because of COVID and things were going great. When rates started to increase again, I decided to move to Fidelity Investments. I worked there for over 2 years as a Workplace Planning Consultant. I learned a lot about the retirement and investment landscape. It was a great job for someone who is able to work for a very large company.
In August of 2024, Kristy approached me and asked if I would like to open a new Pack Tax branch in West Haven. I decided to take on the challenge and go for it. I had been surrounded by money for a long time and learning taxes would help round out my knowledge. I also knew that it was an area where many people needed help because of the complexity. It has been a lot of fun to learn about taxes (yes, I know, it sounds weird) and it has been more rewarding helping people complete their taxes. My wife and I got married in 2015 and we have two boys (ages 7 & 9). It seems that our hobbies have disappeared and our boys consume our time, but we wouldn't have it any other way.

I have lived in the financial world for quite some time, from selling life insurance, to mortgages, to financial planning. I enjoy working with money and coming up with solutions to problems. I obtained my associate's degree in 2015 and my Bachelor's degree in 2023, both from Weber State University. I have two boys, ages 7 and 9. My wife, Rachael, does an amazing job at wrangling her 3 boys and keeping our household going! We love to play at the park, read together, and travel.
